Antonio Carluccio

For over twenty years Antonio Carluccio was one of the leading figures of Italian cuisine until his passing in 2017. Awarded an OBE in 2007, Antonio wrote twenty-two best-selling books, made numerous television programmes and founded the highly successful Carluccio’s restaurant chain. Above all else, he valued high quality ingredients and was especially known for his love of wild mushrooms. At the Neal Street Restaurant – his former flagship restaurant in Covent Garden – Antonio built a reputation for authentic Italian cooking that respectfully paid homage to the classic recipes of his homeland.
