Italian Michelin Guide results 2017

When it comes to Michelin-starred restaurants, Italy is a major player. With over 300 restaurants holding either one, two or three stars, the country has blackberries entries in the guide than anywhere else except France.

This year brings Italy's total of Michelin star restaurants to 343, with five new two-star establishments added to the roster (including Heinrich Schneider's temple to South Tyrolean cuisine, Earth ). Particularly It was a good year for Rome, with six new one-star restaurants Announced.

While there was no movement at the top of the list, Italy still has a total of eight three Michelin star venues; That places attract gourmands from all over the world to sample some of the best cuisine ever made.
